Store / Artwork & terms

How print orders actually work.

Here is what we need from you, what you get back, how long it takes, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Artwork specs

Send files that meet these and your job runs clean the first time. Miss one and we'll catch it, but it costs you a day.

File types
PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, or PSD. High-res PNG and JPG work for simple jobs.
Resolution
300 dpi at final print size for anything handheld. Large-format (banners, tents, backdrops) can run 100–150 dpi at full size because you view it from further away.
Color
CMYK for print, not RGB. Screen colors shift when they hit ink. If an exact brand color matters, give us the Pantone or hex and we'll match as close as the process allows.
Bleed
0.125" bleed on all sides for cards, postcards, and flyers. 2" pole pockets or hem allowance on large-format if the piece wraps or hangs.
Safe zone
Keep text and logos 0.25" inside the trim line. Anything closer risks getting cut.
Fonts
Outline or embed them. If we can't render your font, we can't print your file.
Black
Rich black (C60 M40 Y40 K100) for large solid areas, plain K100 for small text.
Don't have any of that?

That's normal, and it's half of what we do. We'll quote design with your order. It usually costs less than people expect, and less still when it's bundled with a shoot. More on the print shop →

Proofs & approval

Nothing prints until you've seen it and said yes in writing.

  • Digital proof on every custom job. You get a PDF showing exactly what runs, including trim and bleed marks where they matter.
  • We check before you do. Every file gets reviewed for resolution, color mode, bleed, and font issues before it reaches you.
  • Your approval starts the clock. Turnaround times below are counted from proof approval, not from when you place the order.
  • Changes after approval mean a new proof and a reset clock. If the press has already run, it's a new job.

Turnarounds

Production time after proof approval. Shipping is on top of this.

Shipping & pickup

Two ways to get your order. Pickup is free.

  • Pickup in Hudson, NH is free. We text you when it's ready. Most locals do this.
  • Shipping is quoted on your invoice. We don't guess at a flat rate, because a 500-card box and a 10x20 food tent aren't the same package. You see the real number before you pay.
  • Local delivery. Nashua, Litchfield, Pelham, Windham and the towns right around us. Ask, because we are often already headed that way.
  • Tracking goes out by text and email the day it ships.

Order terms

What you are agreeing to when you send an order.

  • The store sends a request, not a purchase. Nothing is charged on this site. We confirm scope and final pricing, then invoice you.
  • Payment is due before production starts. Card, check, or ACH.
  • Prices cover print and fulfillment at the listed spec. Design, shipping, and rush work are separate and always quoted before you approve.
  • Custom print can't be returned. Once your artwork runs, it is yours. That is true at every print shop, and it is why we proof everything first.
  • If we get it wrong, we reprint it. Wrong size, wrong color against the approved proof, damaged in transit, defective material: tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we make it right at no cost.
  • If the approved proof was wrong, we'll still help by discounting the reprint. We just can't eat the full cost of a typo you approved.
  • Color matching is close, not perfect. Screens are backlit and ink isn't. If a Pantone match is critical, tell us up front and we'll advise on the process that gets closest.
  • You own your artwork. We keep production files on hand so reorders are easy, and we don't use your work anywhere without asking.
  • Rights. You confirm you have the right to print what you send us. We won't knowingly reproduce someone else's trademarked or copyrighted work.

Questions about any of this before you order? Call (978) 891-7296. We would rather explain it now than argue about it later.

Common questions

Can I get a sample before ordering 500?

On most flat items, yes. Ask and we'll quote a single-piece sample. On hardware like tents and A-frames there's no such thing as a sample run, so we'll send you photos of similar jobs instead.

Do you match a color from a printed piece I already have?

Send us the piece or the Pantone number. We'll get as close as the process allows and show you a proof. Different substrates take ink differently, so a banner and a business card in "the same" color will never be identical twins.

What if my file is low resolution?

We'll tell you before printing, not after. Sometimes it's fine at viewing distance for large format. Sometimes the honest answer is that we need to rebuild the file, and we'll quote that.

Can you ship to my event directly?

Yes, and it's common. Give us the venue address and the date it needs to land, and we'll build the schedule backwards from there.

Do you do quantities bigger than what's listed?

Always. The store lists common runs. Anything bigger gets a custom quote, usually at a better per-unit price. Just call.

Is design really separate?

Yes. Print pricing is print pricing. Design is its own line, quoted per job. If we already shoot for you or built your site, your brand files are on hand and design costs less.

Ready to order?

Pick your products, send the request, and we'll take it from there. Or call and we'll just handle it.
