Everything your marketing needs. One call gets it.

Photos, video, print, and a website, planned as one job instead of five. One team, one invoice, nobody playing phone tag with your logo files.

5trades, one roof

The usual way:
five vendors. Nobody in charge.

A photographer here. A printer there. A web guy in another time zone who has never seen the photos. Every hand-off is a week lost and a detail dropped, and the person paying for all of it is the one doing the coordinating.

Piecing it together
5

Separate vendors, quotes, invoices and email threads. Each one waiting on the last one.

Distinctive Media
1

One scope, one shoot, one invoice. The person behind the camera is the person behind the code.

5

Trades in one building: photo, video, print, websites, consulting.

48hr

Typical proof turnaround once a shoot wraps.

0

Subcontractors touching your files. Nothing leaves the shop.

100%

Yours at the end. Photos, source files, domain, site.

Those are our own operating numbers, not industry averages.

How a job runs:
five steps. You're in two of them.

The whole point of one shop is that you stop being the project manager. Here is the entire process, including the parts where we leave you alone.

1

The call

Twenty minutes, no deck. We ask what the business actually needs to sell more of, and we say out loud which parts aren't worth paying for yet. Sometimes that's most of the list.

2

One scope, one number

Photos, video, print run and site get quoted together, because they get made together. The number on the quote is the number on the bill. No change orders for things we should have anticipated.

3

Shoot day

One day on site covers all of it: the hero shot for the site, the menu plates, the short-form verticals, the headshots. Shot once, framed for every place it has to live.

4

The build

Edit, layout, code. All three run off the same shoot, so the site matches the cards and the cards match the feed. You see a proof before anything is printed or published.

5

Hand-off, and it's yours

Full-resolution files, print-ready artwork, the domain and the site, all in your name. We would rather keep you by doing good work than by holding your files.

01 Photo & video

Shot for
every place it lands.

Most shoots are framed for one output and then cropped to death for the rest. We plan the frame around the site header, the vertical cut, the menu and the print ad before the camera comes out.

What that changes

One shoot day feeds the whole quarter instead of one post. You get horizontals with room for a headline, verticals that don't chop anyone's head off, and detail plates that hold up at print size.

Commercial, brand films, weddings, events, product, real estate. Same camera, same care.

02 Print shop

Checked before
it goes to press.

Print is the one place a mistake costs money twice. Every job gets a preflight before it runs: bleed, trim, resolution, color profile, fonts outlined. You approve a proof, not a hope.

Why it matters here

Because the artwork comes from a shoot we ran, the file is already the right resolution and the right color space. Most reprints happen when a web-sized JPEG gets sent to a press. That can't happen if the photographer and the printer are the same shop.

Cards, menus, flyers, stickers, labels, banners, signage. Quoted flat, proofed before it runs.

03 Website building

Built around
your shoot.

Hand-coded, not dragged onto a template. The layout gets designed after we know what the photos look like, which is the opposite of how most sites get made and the reason most of them look rented.

The part people skip

Half your visitors are on a phone in a parking lot. The build gets laid out at phone width first and stress-tested at every size, so nothing reflows into a mess on the screen most people will actually use.

Three flat packages, every one includes the shoot. You own the domain, the files and the site from day one.

Built in Hudson.
Small shop, on purpose.

Distinctive Media exists because small businesses kept paying agency prices for template work. A photographer here, a printer there, a web guy in another time zone, and none of them talking to each other.

So we put the whole pipeline in one building on the Merrimack. The person behind the camera is the person behind the code. That's why your site matches your cards and nothing gets lost in a hand-off. There are no hand-offs.

Before you call:
the questions we get every week.

Do you only work in Hudson, NH?

Hudson is home base, but we shoot, print and build all over New England. In person for shoots and events, remote for the rest.

Can one project cover photos, print and a website?

That's the whole point of the shop. One team plans the shoot, the print run and the site together, so everything ships matching and you deal with exactly one vendor.

What does a website cost?

Three flat packages, and every one includes a real photo shoot. Tell us what the job looks like and we'll quote it before any work starts. The number on the quote is the number on the bill.

How fast is turnaround?

Most photo and video jobs deliver inside a couple of weeks. Websites run 2 to 6 weeks depending on the package. You get a real timeline before you commit to anything.

Who owns the photos and the site at the end?

You do. Full-resolution files, print-ready artwork, the domain and the site, all in your name from day one.

I don't know what I need yet. Is that fine?

That's most projects, honestly. Start with a call. Consulting is one of the five trades, and sometimes the answer is a smaller scope than you expected.

Tell us what you're working on.

Photo, video, print, a website, or "honestly, no idea." We'll tell you what's worth doing first. And what isn't.
